DELVEAUX KNIFE AND TOOL

Gentlemen’s Bird & Trout

Bird and trout knives are an essential piece of an outdoorsman’s bag of tricks designed to dress game from the land, sea, and air. As a showcase of natural beauty, each blade uses a different wood for their handle. Zebrawood, Maple Burl, Birdseye Maple, and Curly Maple.

The true centerpiece of this collection uses African Ebony for its handles with Abalone shell inlays. The blade is paired with a leather sheath custom tooled with a spiral design inspired by fractal mathematics.

“The Bastard” - 2019 (Sold)

“The Bastard”, a hybrid blade combining fighting style, elegant finish’s, and edge geometry of a chefs knife. The blade itself is 1095 steel with a mustard patina and mirror polished edge. The handle is made with figured Walnut and fastened using three brass pins. The Saya (wood sheath) is made with perfectly clear Ash using red cedar for the welt.

What makes this blade truly special is the fact that I used the same woods as I used to make my Forged In Fire Lochaber Axe in Season 6 Episode 22. The figured Walnut comes from the same section I used for the bottom of my of my Axe and the scabbard is made from the same board as I used for the main portion of the axe.
